Music Review : Jolly LLB

Jolly LLB is a satirical comical about the judicial system of our country. Directed by SubhashKapoor  of “Phas gaya re Obama” fame. Movie stars Arshad Warsi in the lead role and Amrita Rao acting opposite to him. Boman Irani is also in the movie. This promising film’s music has been scored by Krsna, who gave some beautiful music in his last movie “Tanu weds Manu”.
Songs :
The album has a total of 5 songs and 3 remixes. The album starts off with Kamal Khan singing a peppy number with “Jhoot Boliya”. This foot tapping punjabi number has all the things that could make it a chart topping number. The remix version is more dance able and it will be very popular in the party circuit.  The next song is “Daaru Peeke Nachna”. It has  got the same style like ” Saddi Gali” from Tanu weds Manu . Music Director, Krsna knows how to deliver these kind of song to perfection.  But with Mika and Shreya Ghoshal as singers, this song falls short of expectations. But the remix version is better when compared to the original one.
Next comes “Ajnabi” , a beautiful slow melody song sung by Mohit Chauhan and Shreya Ghoshal. The lyrics of the song are beautiful. The song is a love track, with instruments playing in background which gives a soothing effect on ears. This easy on ears song is perfect for a long drive in the car. “Hans ki Chaal” is the next song sung by Kailash Kher. It is satirical song with really innovative writing. The kids in the background complete the whole song. It is a situational number which will gain popularity once the film releases.
Lastly, its return of Bappi Lahiri with his song “L Lag Gaye”. It has got the same flamboyance which all of Bappi lahiri’s songs have. It is a funfilled  number describing the struggle. It is sure to entertain the audience. It also has a other version “Law Lag Gaye” which is almost the same.
Last Word :
Overall, the album of Jolly LLB is good. The major plus point in the movie is the lyrics of the songs. The remixes by DJ Preitesh Mehta are good.  The songs in the album are situational and will gain popularity once the movie releases. The songs are good but listeners need to give it little time to let the songs to grow on them.
