Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor in Karan Johar’s next

We last heard that Kareena Kapoorand Hrithik Roshan would be coming together for a movie by Zoya Akhtar. While the news fizzled out, here’s the latest – there is buzz that Karan Johar is considering casting the duo together in his screen adaptation of Amish Tripathi’s bestseller, The Immortals Of Meluha.
It had been reported earlier that Hrithik Roshan is to play the role of Lord Shiva in the film which is to be titled Shuddhi. And now, there’s news doing the rounds that Kareena has been approached for the role of Sati.
Hrithik and Kareena last worked together in Sooraj Barjatya’s 2003 dud, Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon, after co-starring in YaadeinMujhse Dosti Karoge! andKabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. It has been barely a decade since they were last seen together and their coming together of this once-hit-jodi would be well received by the audience.
In an interview few years ago, Kareena Kapoor mentioned that she and Hrithik make a fabulous pair and that she hopes for a good script to come their way.
It was beleived that Hrithik and Kareena parted ways after a tiff between them and once they completed their pending projects, the two drifted away from each other. If Karan Johar has his way, all this could change and we could see them working together again. However, if Kareena is not available, Deepika Padukone may be considered. The film is all set for a 2014 Diwali release
