Ranbir Kapoor dropped out of Mira Nair’s international project

Ranbir Kapoor, who has evolved as an outstanding actor over the course of last 3 years especially through his movies “Rockstar”, “Raajneeti” and “Barfi” but he was abruptly dropped from an international venture “The Reluctant Fundamentalist”which is being directed by Indo-American director Mira Nair.
However, Mira Nair said she dropped Ranbir Kapoor because she wanted an experienced actor who has travelled worked and worked in lot of intense movies.
Mira Nair who was interviewed recently told “I did speak to Ranbir Kapoor for ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist’. He is a wonderful boy, a great actor. He can do anything. But I needed someone who has actually lived in different parts of the world. I needed worldliness.”
After dropping Ranbir Kapoor, Mira Nair did find the right person pretty soon as She roped actor Riz Ahmed for the lead role in “The Reluctant Fundamentalist” which is based on the novel written by Pakistani author Mohsin Hamid.
Mira Nair made lot of critically acclaimed movies such as “Salaam Bombay” , “Monsoon Wedding”, “The Namesake” and launched actors like Irrfan Khan. Her movie “Salaam Bombay” was also nominated for Oscar Award.
Ranbir kapoor must be very unlucky to loose the role in “The Reluctant Fundamentalist” which also stars Hollywood actors Kate Hudson, Live Schirber and Kiefer Sutherland.
